    YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a TIER 1 HELP DESK ANALYST you will provide support to customers for talent inquiries and issues. Respond to and diagnose routine problems through discussions with users via telephone, web, email, and other channels. Document, track and, monitor cases for timely resolution. Lastly, route cases to appropriate groups for support and resolution. The ideal candidate will be able to properly handle sensitive information and customer issues. IBM is hiring these positions to be located at our Rocket Center, West Virginia office (near Cumberland, MD). United States Citizenship, relocation to the Rocket Center area, and the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance are required.

    The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

    REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

    • Strong communication/customer service skills and the ability to work in a metrics driven environment.
    • Communication, analysis, customer management, records management, and routing cases for support and resolution.
    • Able to properly handle sensitive information and customer issues.

    PREFERRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

    • College experience (2 years).
    • Good working knowledge of PC usage and typical end user problems (2 years).
    • Moderate Background Investigation.
