    JOB SUMMARY

    CenturyLink's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Service Delivery Organization will be part of an accelerated learning experience to challenge existing skills and develop new skills, while working on active CenturyLink work projects. The Automation Engineer internship will take place in Broomfield, CO, assisting project leaders with the planning, development, and execution of automation related projects. This is a great opportunity for the Intern to help transform our business. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Assist with; Design, development, tests and maintain automation projects across the organization.
    • Create, implement, and train process automation best practices to ensure automations meet business requirements and meet stated targets for efficiency.
    • Must be able to participate in multiple automation projects and ensure delivery within the given timeline.
    • Gain understanding of the people, processes, systems, and related challenges in an effort to identify automation ideas that will improve workforce efficiencies.
    • Participate in growth and strategic direction of the Enterprise RPA platform and new technology platforms.
    • Develop mastery of Automation Software, such as Automation Anywhere and UIPath.
    • Implement Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), using methodologies such as Agile.
    • Develop expert knowledge of scripting.
    • Develop expert knowledge of SQL skills for both one-hit queries and ETL through SSIS, SSRS, or Tableau.
    • Develop expert knowledge of VB/.NET/Java/HTML/JS/PHP/SQL programming.
    • Develop expert knowledge of E2E RPA process and concepts through the request lifecycle.
  • Qualifications
    • Enrolled in a bachelor's or Master's program (senior level education status at time of the internship)
    • Field of Study: IT, Business Administration, Engineering or a combination
    • Concentration: Information Technology & Management
    • English (fluent, oral and written)
    • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher.
    • Must have transportation to/from work daily.
    • Must be available to work 30 - 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe.
    • Basic knowledge of creating, interpreting and communicating financial information.
    • Understanding of financial concepts and metrics.
    • Ability to work independently, meeting assigned deadlines.
    • Proficient in MS-Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • Attention to detail a must.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Available during specified internship timeframe; June 1, 2020 - August 7, 2020.
    • Reliable transportation to/from work daily.
