    JOB SUMMARY

    CenturyLink's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. The Field Operation and Network Implementation group is responsible for engineering and constructing the physical infrastructure like fiber, copper, and electronics that CenturyLink uses to serve its customers. This internship will take place in Phoenix, AZ. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The network Reliability department pulls reports and analyzes data to target rehab spend to areas that will have the most impact to customer service and truck roll expense.
    • Look for areas that would benefit the most from a conversion from copper plant to fiber services.
    • Analyze the areas we have old air core cables and develop a plan and cost structure to transition to new services and phase out the old cables and air pressure systems supporting them.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in telecommunications, engineering, networking or security domain.
    • Currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University at time of internship; junior, senior, or master's level student (graduating after August 2020).
    • 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
    • Candidate will need to have experience with Excel, Web based applications, Microsoft flows, SharePoint online design.
    • Analyzed data and pull key items into SharePoint sites.
    • Communicate site changes and provide training to users as needed.
