CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Global Network and Technology Security will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects. Intern will have the opportunity to work with a team who provides security processes, systems, and operations in order to protect CenturyLink from cyber threats. The internship will take place in Broomfield, CO. Job Description

Advance CTL SOAR (Security Orchestration Automation & Response) capability through system installation / configuration and development / refinement of workflows to support incident response efficiency gains.

• Knowledge of Security Orchestration Automation & Response (SOAR) tools and functions.
• 1 year of Python development experience.
• System administration exposure (e.g. Windows, Linux).
• TCP/IP network principles knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Quick learner and not afraid to work with new technology.

Minimum Requirements:

• Pursing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; as junior, senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship (graduating after August 2020).
• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher
• Must have transportation to/from work daily
• Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe
