Job Summary

CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study. Interns within the Human Resources department will be part of a an accelerated learning experience while providing a well-rounded understanding of Human Resources. Interns will have the potential to experience the various functions within Human Resources to include; Talent Management, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Human Resources Business Partner. The internship will take place in locations such as Monroe, Louisiana or Broomfield, CO. In addition interns will be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior HR leadership, business leaders, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors.

Responsibilities

• Interface and partner with all levels of employees
• Accomplish multiple projects simultaneously
• Assist with planning of training events
• Provide best in class customer service
• Provide analytical support
• Assist with recurring reporting activities
• Assist with basic instructional design
• Prepare and organize presentation slides and storyboards
• Use intermediate and advanced functions in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Structure and convey information in verbal and written presentation formats
• Research and collect data for various HR initiatives
• Network with internal and external constituents
• Assist with web development
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Currently in a Masters Level degree program, Graduating August 2020 through May 2021
• Human Resources and Business Administration & Management majors
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Highly motivated, organized, reliable, and detailed oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and adapts well to change
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Intern is responsible for their travel to/from work location
• Must be available to work during the specified internship timeframe; Colorado - 6/1/2020-8/7/2020 or Louisiana - 5/18/2020-7/24/2020
• US work authorization is required
