    Job Summary

    CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Global Network Technology and Security department will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects The internship will take place in Littleton, CO.     Job Description

    • Focus on the development and automation framework using Ansible, yaml and jupyter to support various projects such as Chaos Engineering, Metal as a Service (MaaS), EdgeCompute, Universal CPE (uCPE) and Programmable Service Backbone (PSB) platforms.
    • Develop AI/ML modules to support automation framework for the end-to-end SDN/NFV engineering, test and certification environments.
    • Perform code reviews with peers as well as immediate supervisors of internally developed automation software written in various languages such as nodejs, python, go, c, c++ and java.

  • Qualifications
    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master Degree.
    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering equivalent.
    • Master's degree Candidates for ITP or Computer Science.
    • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; as junior, senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship.
    • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher
    • Ability and ambition to thrive in a fast paced, complex engineering environment.
    • Conveys a sense of urgency, responsiveness and drives issues to closure.
    • Strong time management and ability to prioritize
    • Ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability
    • Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Flexible and adapts well to change
    • Intern is responsible for their travel to/from work location
    • Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe
