    JOB SUMMARY

    CenturyLink's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within Network Planning and Access Management will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects. The Planner will be a resource within the department and across departments, to achieve on-time completion of business case development and product deployment to meet customer and internal demand sets. The internship will take place in Wayzata, MN. (Intern will work in 2 other locations within the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area; Richfield MN and Anoka MN. At these locations, we have Network/Access Planning Engineers and Network/Access Design Engineers that the Intern will interact and learn/work with). In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Planning or capacity management of the voice, access, transport or data network.
    • Planning or capacity management of hosting infrastructure.
    • Operations support of our financial customers.
    • Scripting and/or automation of general planning tasks or capacity management.
    • Business process analysis and data solution development/scripting.
  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications.
    • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; junior, senior or Master's education level at the start of the internship (graduating after August 2020).
    • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher
    • Must have transportation to/from work daily.
    • Exposure to programming languages like JAVA, C, C and SQL.
    • Exposure to quality assurance testing tools.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented.

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelors or Equivalent
    • Masters or Equivalent
