CenturyLink's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Finance organization will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects. Unclaimed property deals with processing annual statutory escheatment filings and due diligence mailings and responses. The internship will take place in Monroe, LA. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist current Unclaimed Property Specialist in annual statutorily required Due Diligence contact attempt efforts that happen during the summer months relating to Unclaimed Property.
• Average of 12,500 letters must be mailed out in a short time frame, with about 1,500 responses that must be tended to which include reissuing checks for claims.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; junior or senior status at the start of the internship.
• Prior work experience in a finance or accounting related discipline helpful.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong typing ability and English language.
• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher.
• Must have transportation to/from work daily.
• Must be available to work 30 - 40 hours.
• Available for Summer Internship Program: 5/18/2020 - 7/24/2020.
