    A Brief Overview

    The IT Analyst will work closely with other analysts to learn and contribute to the development of WWT applications and third-party vendor systems and products. This position will leverage expertise and experience from other analysts to contribute to the shaping of our functional/technical solutions. This will involve stakeholder interactions, requirements gathering, requirements creation, contribution to design discussions, test case creation, performing testing and documentation. This employee will have a strong desire to learn and possess excellent critical thinking and analysis skills.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and start applying WWT Core Values and best practices.
    • Functional Design and Development: In collaboration with other analysts, help define and create business requirements, write test cases, perform testing and support the development lifecycle.
    • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with other analysts and the delivery team and with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
    • Test Case writing and Testing: Assist other analysts in test case definition and documentation and performing and tracking the test case successes/failures. Start learning business process to ensure successful functional and regression testing can be executed.
    • Problem Solving: Gather relevant information and context to recognize and describe issues or unexpected behavior clearly. Learn to troubleshoot small technical issues by tracing issues through the workflow to identify root cause.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Adhere to established documentation standards or guidelines used by team/organization (including formatting, naming conventions). 
    • Agile Methodology: Actively engage in Agile development practices including sprint planning, story creation, daily standups, testing, demos, and retrospectives.  Adapt to evolving requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s processes and delivery. 
    • Learning and Development: Continuously learn and understand WWT’s business processes to effectively contribute to and support the evolution of our technology solutions.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Perform and document manual Lead to Order tasks meeting service level agreements for activities such as defaulting customer quote fields, external customer e-store setups, and troubleshooting electronically submitted quote requests.
    • Monitor incoming workstreams, prioritize, and complete team incidents and service requests.
    • Use data to prove/disprove hunches about workloads and areas of business process improvement.
    • Identify automation opportunities and create developer user stories to reduce the level of effort required to provide the same level of service to our customers.
    • Ensure development meets requirements while delivering optimal performance to our end users.
    • Write and maintain functional and regression test plans.
    • Work with users to perform user acceptance testing.
    • Perform other tasks as identified by your manager to enable team success.
    • Grow into a larger role with WWT through development of your technical skills and business understanding.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Computer Science preferred
    • 2-4 years of experience in the information technology industry
    • Ability to understand, write, and run efficient SQL statements, different techniques
    • Proficient in reading and modifying JSON/XML
    • Documentation – create Flowcharts, UMLs, ERDs using tools similar to Lucidchart, Visio, and Gliffy
    • Strong communication skills - Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
    • Result driven and self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle a plus
    • A minimum of 1 year progressive experience in a related field required
    • Functional/Technical skills: Ability to critically analyze and decompose technical requirements. Strong problem-definition, requirements elicitation, and impact analysis.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Adhere to established documentation standards or guidelines used by team/organization.
    • Support and Troubleshooting: Perform preliminary analysis to identify potential causes of issues. Adhere to standard operating procedures or support guidelines when addressing issues and communicate clearly and professionally with end users providing consistent updates and instructions.
    • Testing: Experience in functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Capable of presenting ideas clearly and effectively.
    • Agile Methodology: Experience or understanding of Agile environments with evolving requirements.
    • Self-Motivation: Highly responsible self-starter/team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic.
    • Learning and Development: Continuously learn and understand WWT’s business processes to effectively contribute to and support the evolution of our technology solutions.
    • This tier includes specific domain areas, including but not limited to: Custom Apps/Ops

    Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $28.27- $35.34 per hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
