JOB SUMMARY

Lumen's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. As part of the Lumen's Mass Markets organization, the Digital Engagement team supports the digital functionality for existing and perspective customers. We are looking for a creative Copywriter to write clear and organically-optimized for publications and websites. This internship will take place in Denver, CO with the option of working from home. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice, that is geared towards sales and support.
• Be able to craft high-quality content that follows CenturyLink's branding and messaging.
• Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, agencies and other internal partners to design content layout.
• Conduct high-quality research on new topics and be able to distill to a simple, understandable level.
• Edit and proofread copy to improve overall visual appeal and understandability.
• Source images and other content.
• Familiarity with blog and social media content.

• Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Writing, Communications, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; as a junior or senior level education status at the start of the internship (graduating after August 2021).
• Experience writing for professional or customer-facing communications, preferred.
• Significant writing experience required.
• Must have transportation to/from work daily.
• Must be available to work 30 - 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a copywriter (1 years).
• Familiarity with SEO a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong research skills.
• Collaborative spirit.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with the telecommunications and IT Technology Industries is a plus.
• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher.
