THE ROLE

LUMEN’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS A PATH FOR CAREER READINESS IN THE 4TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

Be a part of an internship program, driving human progress through technology.  During a 10- week period (June 3, 2022 - August 12, 2022), our summer interns innovate and make an impact by transforming industries across the globe and changing the world one connection at a time.  Our interns are presented with real business challenges and provide solutions that make a difference across all areas of the company, all while learning the skills needed to successfully navigate the modern workplace.

Interns will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Lumen work projects.  In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource group, and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.

The Corporate Real Estate Management Intern would report into the Sales Operations Strategy and Data Analytics Organization. This team supports the centralized services and regional operations teams by analyzing data, creating reports, performing research, reviewing and updating documentation and managing small projects, and provides strategic and operational support to Sales, Sales Ops, and Offer Management, as well as  drives repeatability, predictability and scalability across the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support as needed to  property manager, financial analyst, and real estate coordinator.
• Assist team with leasing, acquisition, disposition, and site selection activities for the company.
• Acting as liaison between senior management and firms contracted to help maintain/manage the company’s real estate properties.
• Maintaining strong relationships with third-party leasing and sales brokers
• Maintain a database and regularly appraising all real estate owned by the corporation
• Coordinate projects, focused on consolidating or exiting corporate real estate leases

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

• Pursing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate Management, Finance, or related field.
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship,and graduating August 2022 – June 2023.
• 3.0 or above cumulative GPA preferred
• High level of Tech Fluency preferred
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Highly motivated, organized, reliable, and detail oriented
• Capable of multi-tasking efficiently
• Professional attitude 
• Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI with ability to learn other platforms quickly
• Capable of working autonomously and communicating clearly in verbal and written forms
