    Responsible for assisting the Internal Audit department in the execution of financial/operational internal audit projects and SOX 404 compliance.

    Responsibilities

    During the initial weeks of the internship, training will be provided to onboard the Intern to Zebra Technologies and educate him/ her on the role of Internal Audit.

    In the following weeks of the internship, the Intern(s) will be responsible for assisting the department with some of the following activities:

    • Participating in interviews to understand the business processes and supporting IT applications
    • Assisting the Internal Audit team in documenting and evaluating the business process for purposes of financial/operational auditing and/or SOX 404 compliance
    • Executing basic levels of testing with guidance from the team, including controls testing to support SOX 404 compliance and/or to support financial/operational audit activities
    • Following up on the status of prior Internal Audit project and SOX compliance results
    • Compiling and evaluating departmental performance metrics used to drive continuous improvement within the Internal Audit activities
    • Performing other duties, as assigned

    The Intern(s) will work directly with Senior and Staff Internal Auditors, but may also interact with process owners in the business and with the external audit (outside financial statement audit) team.   Through this internship, the Intern will gain valuable insights into the inter-workings of a publicly traded corporation while also developing an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of an Internal Audit department and the importance of proper risk management and internal controls. In addition, this internship will provide exposure to the functionality and use of key software programs in the business environment and various methods of business communication.

    • College student at the junior/senior level engaged in a business-related major (i.e., Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc.), with a GPA of 3.25 (out of 4.0) or higher.
