    THE ROLE

     

    LUMEN’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS A PATH FOR CAREER READINESS IN THE 4TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

    Be a part of an internship program, driving human progress through technology.  During a 10- week period ( June 3, 2022 - August 12, 2022), our summer interns innovate and make an impact by transforming industries across the globe and changing the world one connection at a time.  Our interns are presented with real business challenges and provide solutions that make a difference across all areas of the company, all while learning the skills needed to successfully navigate the modern workplace.

    In this role, our goal is to provide our intern with a wide exposure to Lumen products and various organizations. He/She/They will work closely with the North America Enterprise Acquisition Sales and Public Sector organization.This organization supports the internal and external go-to-market efforts of key product launches that align to top company priorities, such as developing cohesive message maps, event coordinating, creative content creation for digital platforms, and advertising projects, as well as  analyzing and reporting outcomes.

    THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    This role will provide many growth and learning opportunities that will focus on the following areas: Account-Based Marketing, Strategy Review and Improvement, Creative Agency Management, Results Review and Ad-Hoc Metrics Review,Developing Email Nurture Optimizations through data analysis, such as new subject lines and other content refreshes, etc. , and Social Media Content Creation and Publication. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, takes initiative, has a keen attention to detail, strong marketing background or content creation (whether design or copywriting) with an interest in growing their digital acumen across varied marketing channels, strong organization skills and communication skills, and maintains a professional demeanor.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Reviewing digital advertising performance
    • Developing copy and imagery for social media posts
    • Develop and manage timelines for key projects, especially those in development with creative agencies and vendors
    • Build slides for weekly alignment calls, monthly metrics review, and other ad hoc requests for slides
    • Attend pertinent meetings like staff calls, 1:1 meetings with manager, team and other SMEs to get full picture of corporate organization
    • Drives launch timelines, goals, and deliverables for a successful launch across segments.
    • Identifies connective tissue between workstreams and how teams should work together.
    • Helps to define broader market development themes/messaging, strategies and targeting for incubation, innovation, and growth.
    • Drives initiatives to help lower the noise level and simplify Lumen’s buying and selling experience.
    • Identifies and drives initiatives with sales effectiveness and corporate marketing that improve the overall customer and seller experience across all segments.

    WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing/Advertising, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Digitial Media or related field.
    • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; junior or senior level education status at the start of the internship (graduating August 2022 – June 2023).
    • GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred, not required
    • If position is in office, must have transportation to/from work daily
    • Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe.
    • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated with a natural curiosity to bring new ideas to the table
    • Strong analytical skills and comfort with developing and supporting marketing metrics and reporting on measures of success such as Program ROI  
    • Experience with executing integrated, multi-touch marketing plans including lead generation programs
    • Experience with sales and marketing automation systems Salesforce.com and Marketo
    • Strong team player with a positive attitude
    • Ability to adapt to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes.
    • Ability to manage large projects and cross functional teams
    • Meticulous attention to detail on project plans, details, timelines, cross functional teams, communications.
    • Must have a strong work ethic, expressing dedication to the business and pursuit of the agreed-to business agendas.
    • Ideal candidate is bright and observant in how pieces fit together for a successful launch.
    • Must have Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint acumen
