    THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    As an Operations Support Associate intern in our North American Operations organization, you will work collaboratively with our Operations Service Management (OSM) Team to act as a liaison between Lumen and named customers. Tasks during the 10 weeks may include customer data analytics and Service Review creation, as well as various internal projects to improve the OSM organization, tools, and process through use of Microsoft PowerSuite. You will need a high level of engagement and ability to take initiative, ask questions, learn quickly, and work in a team environment.

    Other tasks may include:

    -    Collect and analyze operational data for named Customers  -    Create, implement, and drive to completion Service Improvement Plans for named Customers  -    Putting together customer service review decks in PowerBI and presenting to customer’s operational leadership  -    Assist with API related database connections and projects  -    Take on new customers for OSM account management  -    Develop\maintain knowledge of the customer’s network from a design, provisioning and growth perspective  -    Anticipate and proactively address customer escalations through awareness of sensitive or critical impacts  -    Responsible for addressing service assurance, network operations, and related service issues while fostering strong business relationships with named Customers 

    WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

    -    Education Requirements  -    Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university- rising senior status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2022 – May 2023. -    Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Data Science, MIS, CIS, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field.

    -    Proficiency and understanding of: -    Microsoft Suite skills: PowerPoint and Excel are a must, ideally also Microsoft Power App, Power Automate and/or PowerBI skills -    Any database analyst background a plus

    -    Professional Attributes  -    Strong drive for results/solutions and taking initiative to resolve problems -    Highly organized with attention to detail -    Intrinsically motivated with a “go-getter” mentality  -    Desire to be mentored, molded, and work in a team environment  -    Ability to communicate extremely well is necessary -    Ability to be resourceful and adaptable- independently AND in a team environment  -    Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions -    Strong written and verbal communication skills  -    Capable of relaying output in a professional manner to internal and external leadership teams 

    -    Work Setting -    Ideally the position will be in the Tulsa, OK office:  -   Secondary: Broomfield, CO -    Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the 10-week program (June – August) -    Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations) -    US work authorization
