THE ROLE

LUMEN’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS A PATH FOR CAREER READINESS IN THE 4TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

Be a part of an internship program, driving human progress through technology.  During a 10- week period our summer interns innovate and make an impact by transforming industries across the globe and changing the world one connection at a time.  Our interns are presented with real business challenges and provide solutions that make a difference across all areas of the company, all while learning the skills needed to successfully navigate the modern workplace.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Planning Associate intern in our North American Operations organization, the Intern will work collaboratively with our network planning team to assist with assigning out workload to teams based on load balancing models.  Tasks during the 10 weeks will focus on sales and revenue enablement by working with architects to finalize cost for the solution for the customer. You can expect to work with a variety of individuals in this role so be prepared so communicate often to tackle problems. Planning Associate interns will have the potential to develop reporting skills and data driven research. Other tasks may include:

-    Cost research for fiber line build and implementation

-    Perform fiber lease research    -    Assign work for engineers, sales team, architects, etc  -    Assist team with data collection, file creation

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

Education Requirements

•     Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising junior, senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2023 – May 2025.

•     Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering, Telecom, and other related fields

Proficiency and understanding of:

•     Microsoft Office Suites
  

•     Emphasis in excel knowledge

•     Data Analytics experience is a plus

Work Setting

•     Ideally the position will be in one of the following offices: Broomfield -CO, Tulsa, OK, or Remote- Work From Home

•     Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)

•     Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations)
