THE ROLE

Lumen’s Internship Program is a path for career readiness in the 4th Industrial Revolution.  Be a part of an internship program, driving human progress through technology.  During a 10- week period our summer interns innovate and make an impact by transforming industries across the globe and changing the world one connection at a time.  Our interns are presented with real business challenges and provide solutions that make a difference across all areas of the company, all while learning the skills needed to successfully navigate the modern workplace.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Project Management intern in our North American Operations organization, you will work collaboratively with our Field and Field Business Operations Team in delivering, executing, and monitoring our Cost Transformation Portfolio. This team manages the field portfolio from idea to deployment while also tracking finances alongside the deployment. Tasks during the 10 weeks may include building project plans for the team.  You will need a high level of engagement and ability to take initiative, ask questions, learn quickly, and work in a team environment. Other tasks may include:

-    Facilitating weekly meetings with internal teams  -    Capture and follow-up on action items -    Prepare status updates -    Provide readouts to leaders in the organization -    Clearly articulate the business value of the projects being managed -    Assist with tracking and reporting on financial impacts from initiatives being managed

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

-   Education Requirements 

•     Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university- rising senior status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2022 – May 2023. -    Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Business management, accounting, marketing, engineering, data science, MIS, or a related field  -    Proficiency and understanding of: -    Microsoft Suites  -    Professional Attributes  -    Strong drive for results and taking initiative to resolve problems -    High attention to detail with STRONG organizational skills -    Time management skills -    Comfortable working independently   -    Ability to be resourceful and adaptable- independently AND in a team environment  -    Strong written and verbal communication skills  -    Work Setting -    Ideally the position will be in one of the following offices: Broomfield, CO, Frisco, TX, Monroe, LA, or Remote/Work From Home -    Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August) -    Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations) -    US work authorization
