JOB SUMMARY

Lumen's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Real Estate department will be part of a comprehensive and accelerated learning experience, where skills learned in the classroom will be challenged and developed while working on active Lumen projects. Interns will have the opportunity to experience the three major functions of the Real Estate group: Strategic portfolio planning; centralized operations management, and management of real estate systems.

The internship will take place in Broomfield, CO. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assistance with various functions within the Real Estate organization, including:
• Data audits
• Assisting with preparing formal reports
• Reviewing and updating documents
• Evaluating processes in effort to identify areas of improvement
• Assisting with financial analysis and reporting
• Analyzing and reporting on trends
• Special projects

• Suggested majors include Business, Finance, Accounting, Facilities Management or Communications
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; entering junior or senior year at the start of the internship.
• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Must have transportation to/from work daily.
• Must be available to work 30 - 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe (June 1-Aug 13, 2021).
• Understanding of financial statements (e.g. income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows) and financial return metrics (e.g. NPV, IRR, Payback, etc.)
• Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
• Good analytical/inquisitive thinking skills a must, with the ability to effectively summarize and communicate conclusions (via oral or written).
• Detail oriented and thoroughly reviews work to ensure accuracy of results/analysis produced.
• Demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Knowledge of process improvement
• Knowledge of computer language such as sequel, preferred not required
• Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions.
• Flexible and adapts well to change.
