THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Lumen’s Strategic Planning and Transformation organization is looking for a Software Developer intern to join our Service Fulfillment and Inventory team. This team is positioned within our Application Development group and provides support for our workflow systems, specifical the Flightdeck application. This intern will manage tasks submitted through the application and understand prioritization and assignments in order to execute on tasks for the customer. 

•     Software development supporting the CWM program. Will shadow existing developers and follow their sprint schedule for software delivery. 

•     Java or Angular development with good understanding of implementing design patterns.

•     RDBMS and SQL understanding of RDBMS capabilities, preferably Oracle

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

Education Requirements

•     Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2023 – June 2024.

•     Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical degree field.

Proficiency and understanding of:

•     Understand the requirements of each task and discuss the approach with more senior members of the team. 

•     Full stack developer preferred.

•     Team Player – You’ll need to rely on other people to be complete the project, and need to work well with others

•     Problem-Solver – you will need to be able to analyze a situation and make recommendations for resolutions, sometimes these answers are not obvious

Work Setting

•     This position is fully remote – work from home. (Candidates local to Broomfield, CO will have the option of going in office, hybrid)

•     Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)

•     If applicable, intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations)
