  THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Software Developer in our Strategic Planning and Transformation organization, you will be a part of the Corporate Consumer BSS team building new Salesforce application and pushing the application to the business.  This team supports cloud-based systems and integrations between these stakeholder systems and internal applications at Lumen. The intern candidate for this role, should be ready to work on cross functional program streams, while taking on the challenges of decommissioning outdated applications and software platforms, assisting in the continued modernization of Lumen’s platforms.

•    Work with IT project managers, business analysts, and senior software developers to evaluate project requirements, create technical designs and implement changes within the Salesforce instance

•    Attend daily stand-ups 

•    Develop new web API’s or web services 

•    Support infrastructure upgrades and testing

•    Participate in cloud integration work

•    Bug fixes 

•     Manage Jira backlog for work items 
  

•    Production support activities (reporting or minor fixes/enhancements)

•    Full understanding of Salesforce Application and ability to define process from start to end

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

-    Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2023 – June 2024.

-    Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or similar technical degree field is preferred.

WORK SETTING

•     This position will be fully remote – work from home 

•     Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)

•     US work authorization required

PROFICIENCY AND UNDERSTANDING OF:

•     Understand the requirements of each task and discuss the approach with more senior members of the team. 

•     Cloud technologies

•     Core Java

•     Webservices Rest APIs and SOAP based APIs,

•     Good knowledge of Oracle SQL queries.

•     XML, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, JSP, Java script Basics.

•     Database tools & Queries

•     Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

•     Problem-Solver – you will need to be able to analyze a situation and make recommendations for resolutions, sometimes these answers are not obvious
