    JOB SUMMARY

    CenturyLink's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Network Inventory and Activations group will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects. The intern will be part of the software development Agile work teams supporting design, inventory and activations of CenturyLink products and services over ethernet and IP technologies. The work group's primary location is in Littleton, CO. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Support the development of network inventory, workflow, service mediation platforms, as well as designing software supporting new products and customer solutions.
    • Work on a small team, implementation Agile work methodologies.
    • Work with internal development teams as well as partnering with 3rd party vendors developing software solutions in support of fulfillment of customer services.
  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Classification: Senior status by start of internship.
    • Pursing a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related degree program such as CIS, Computer Science or Engineering.
    • Currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University at time of internship.
    • 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
    • Available for Summer Internship Program: 6/1/2020 - 8/7/2020.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of software development methodologies, standards and coding best practices.
    • Experience with Applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint.
    • Experience with various development languages including but not limited to: C#, Java, C , Spark, Scala, Angular, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML.
    • Experience with various database management packages including but not limited to: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB.
    • Experience with various Operating Systems including but not limited to: Windows 7, UNIX, LINUX.
    • Experience with Cloud Computing including but not limited to: Azure, AWS.
    • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented.
    • Capable of multi-tasking efficiently.
    • Quick learner and not afraid to work with new technology.
    • Professional attitude.
