    1st Shift- Hours PDC

    PURPOSE/FUNCTION:

    Responsible for wave planning and releasing of outbound orders to operations to meet contractual agreement with customers. Accountable for resolution of issues that delay or preven t customer orders from shipping on time. Analyzes root cause failures and reports as neces sary. Communicates r egularly with Ops managers, supervisors, team leads, material handling, and sales regarding outbound orders. Consistently assists Operations in analyzing product teams, re-slotting and efficiently increasing pick times and product flo or. Proficiency in the use of WMS and freight management tools required.

    MAJOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

    • Plan and release all outbound orders shipping same day to customer SLA 's
    • Analyze all order discrepancies and collaborate with other areas in operations f or timely resolution to meet customer expectations for orders shipping same day
    • Configure forward pick locations for materials to proper min/max level and set appropriate replenishment levels to ensure efficient flow of materials to and from location
    • Log a ll planning activity to ensure correct reporting of orders planned, orders released and pick commands generated for totals and by pick area
    • Communicate any systemic problems immediately to appropriate parties to ensure timely resolution
    • Communicate sudden spikes in or other abnormal volume to operations staff as a proactive measure s o preparations can be made to adjust labor accordingly
    • Daily communication with all areas of operations on issues that impact efficient flow of orders shipping same day
    • Coordina tes movement of product for unique events as a proactive measure with information supplied by Sales
    • Maintains a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors and their departmental personnel at all times

    MINOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTION :

    • Provides support to receiving staff to ensure materials are properly configured for receipt
    • Learn and understand the issues and function s of kitting as it relates to resource planning, which includes, but not limited to, creation of kit jobs, planning of kit jobs, setting of label formats, creation of BoM's and creation or modifying of assembly work plans
    • Learn and be able to process order s through TMS
    • Learn other areas of operations so as to assist in problem resolution
    • Responsible for additional tasks as assigned to meet or exceed the expectations of customers and/or management based on our fluid business demand

    QUALIFICA TION REQUIREMENTS:

    • MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Accessand especiallyExcel)required
    • Bachelor of Science or Administration degree in supply chain, accounting or business administration preferred
    • Up to 3 years prior experience in high volume specialized distribution required
    • APICS Preferred
    • Strong communication skills , both written and verbal required .
    • Pre-employment drug screen
