Fall/Winter 2018 Communications Intern Scholars Strategy Network -
Cambridge, MA 02139 $15 an hour - Part-time, Internship The Scholars
Strategy Network (SSN) is looking for paid, part-time communications
interns for the fall and winter of 2018. Interns will support SSN staff
in achieving the organizations mission: bringing research and evidence
into the public debate to improve policy and strengthen democracy. These
positions require a commitment of 10 to 15 hours per week during the
semester. Compensation is $15 per hour. SSN offices are located in 200
Portland St, Boston, MA 02114. Preferred start date is the end of

Qualifications * Graduate student, advanced undergraduate student, or
equivalent experience * Excellent written and verbal communication
skills and proofreading ability * Commitment to SSNs mission *
Self-motivated Eagerness to learn about the political process and
nonprofit sector * Professional, positive, and trustworthy * Ability to
learn new skills * Flexibility to move among tasks Job Responsibilities
- Supporting the production of the SSN podcast, No Jargon * Building
press lists and compiling outreach materials for reporters on a variety
of topics * Identifying key journalists and communications opportunities
- Editing and proofreading * Tracking and analyzing the progress of the
SSN communications team * Supporting the rest of the SSN team as needed
by proof-reading documents, compiling and entering data, assisting in
event planning, and taking on new tasks * Additional duties as assigned
