Acxiom Solution and Analytics is seeking a Manager of Engineering with a proven history of delivering multiple complex product features successfully. This person will be a core member of the Solutions and Analytics engineering leadership team, so they must be able to represent both the technical and business sides of the engineering function.

As an Engineering manager, you will be responsible for coordination of work across multiple scrum teams to ensure consistency in architecture and engineering practices for Acxiom’s Customer Intelligence Platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Run engineering for multiple scrum teams - You will lead small teams of engineers building products under tight deadlines. You will be expected to have an eye to even the smallest detail of these projects so that their architecture is well thought-through, their design is superb, the choice of technologies is correct for products to perform at scale, their code well-written using best practices, and the result is a stable, consistent and enjoyable user experience.

• Product Enhancements - You will be responsible for taking product requirements from Product Management and working with Solution and Analytics architects to break down the work for the scrum team ensuring that design is inline with the product architecture and can be delivered with appropriate due dates.

• Scope timelines and budgets - We will be dependent on you to scope your product enhancements correctly, provide realistic and dependable timelines, identify key risks to success, mitigation strategies for those risks, and accurate costs that allow us to plan our budgets.

• Maintain timelines and deliverables - Put simply: deliver what you promise in the time you promise with the expected quality at the expected price.

• Identify, evaluate, and select new technologies - You will be expected to continuously evaluate new technologies, especially as they relate to the area of your scrum teams, and to select those you think will best serve product needs.

• Security and Compliance - You will be responsible for ensuring that your engineers adhere to the Acxiom Security and Compliance standards. This includes security and privacy reviews for new features when appropriate, addressing tech debt identified in security scans and adhering to secure coding standards.

• Associate Development - You will be responsible for developing associate talent by setting goals that are inline with product direction in the form of owning feature deliverables and additional skills.

Required Skills

• Experience leading and mentoring associates.

• Experience building/delivering unique, well-built software products to market.

• Experience managing, high-performance engineering teams running multiple scrum teams or projects.

• Ability to lead investigation and resolution efforts for critical, high impact problems, defects & incidents

• Experience with Agile development practices including CICD.

• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Experience working with ETL Pipelines

• Experience with some of the following

  • MongoDB

  • Scala

  • Databricks

  • Snowflake

  • Spark
