    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Leidos Innovation Center Applied Science group is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support a variety of efforts.  The intern will be involved in design and analysis of mechanical systems, will use production and special test equipment and conduct tests. Duties may include: providing direct support in the preparation of detailed designs, participation in testing and prototype fabrication, and preparing supporting documentation.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Research to inform trade studies for component selection
    • Possible hands-on assistance with assembly of products
    • Likely hands-on assistance with test of motors, valves, controllers, and other components
    • CAD model and drawing updates for projects currently in production

    Basic Qualifications

    • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
    • Minimum of one year of college coursework completed before the start of the internship
    • Completed at least one course in 3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks
    • U.S. Citizenship is required

    Preferred Qualifications

    •      Experience with MATLAB, Altium, Microsoft Office products

    PAY RANGE:

    • $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00
