Join the industry leader in Network and Telecommunications Services as we embark on transforming our nation's critical communications infrastructure and the FAA's National Airspace System (NAS) network. As a member of our FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) team, you will bring your passion, education and experience to this critical mission and interact directly with decision-makers and government staff who are tasked with ensuring the nation's air transportation system's underlying communications infrastructure is secure and always available. We are hiring skilled and energetic candidates to work alongside the best and brightest employees on a long-term career opportunity to design, build and operate the next generation NAS network supporting the busiest, most complex aerospace system in the world.

    As a Network Wireless Engineer for the Public Sector Federal Aviation Administration Enterprise Network Engineering Services (FENS) engineering team, you will be a on a multi-discipline team that will design, implement, and manage the implementation of wireless diversity for the FAA infrastructure architecture. You are well versed across multiple technology disciplines to include but not limited to Wireless technologies (LTE, 5G, RF, and antennas), Enterprise Solutions, MPLS, telecommunications access, wide area networking, routing protocols, and diversity, as well as Cyber Security, and Managed Services. You will work in a cross-functional and cross-organizational environment (including Third party partners) to facilitate and deliver the FENS initial and on-going Wireless infrastructure solutions for the FAA complex requirements throughout the life-cycle of the FENS program.

    You will be focused on the survivability and resiliency integrated architectures for the FAA FENS opportunity. The goal will be to deliver the best technical solutions along with the best customer service.

    You will need to:

    • Understand customer business challenges.

    • Develop wide area network solutions using Wireless technologies to solve the customer need to include wireless technology selection, antenna selection, and customer CPE selection.

    • Provide briefings at various levels.

    • Assess, prioritize, and manage scope of work across various initiatives.

    What we are looking for:

    You are an effective and inspiring leader, able to engage and motivate cross functional teams to deliver outstanding performance. You have the business insight and executive presence to establish credibility with executive leaders (e.g., internally, customer, and partners). You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and can balance contending demands and priorities.

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.

    • Experience in designing Wireless networks at the CPE, access, and transport level to support mission critical networks.

    • Designing or architecting survivable and resilient mission critical wireless infrastructure.

    • Developing highly diverse network architectures (e.g., CPE, Access, Transport) end to end.

    • Four or more years of work experience in documenting technical network designs (i.e., Wireless networks, CPE, LAN, WAN, and Access).

    • Knowledge of technical product and systems development lifecycle within a large global enterprise environment.

    • Ability to obtain a government security clearance of Public Trust.

    • Experience in two or more technical areas listed:

      • Wireless Network designs (RF, LTE, 5G, Antenna principles)

      • Data and IP Services (MPLS, SIP, internet, VPN, SDN, NFV, SDWAN).

      • Access Technologies (TDM, Ethernet).

      • Network Operations (Managed Services for WLAN, LAN, WAN, IP PBX, Automation/Orchestration).

      • Security (DDOS, FW, IDS, WAF, DDI, SIEM, Analytics, Micro-segmentation).

      • Wireless technologies (IoT).

      • Wide area networking, routing protocols, and VPN design.

    Even Better if you have:

    • Master’s Degree in a technical or business area.

    • Experience in communicating (written and spoken) highly technical, multi-faceted (e.g., network, security, data, application) solutions to customers in a simple, understandable manner.

    • Ability to document designs in formal engineering specifications.

    • Highly organized with an ability to manage competing priorities.

    • Demonstrated interpersonal communication, organization and project management skills.

    • Four or more years of successful experience with strategic solutions and/or systems integration design and solutions selling experience (consultative solutions selling).

    • Communication, organization, and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully work multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Public Sector Domain Experience to include both Federal and Department of Defense contract and procurement experience.

    • Experience in the Aviation industry.
