Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM is transforming product management and has created a new discipline called IBM Offering Management.

IBM Offering Management transforms how we take offerings to market by first focusing on the needs of the client. We are looking for early-career, technically minded entrepreneurs for an intensive internship program with offering teams who are solving complex problems in a fast-paced, changing world. Selected interns will be considered for the Associate Offering Manager (AOM) Program. The Associate Offering Manager (AOM) Program is the cornerstone of this transformation. Our interns operate at the center of multidisciplinary teams which include design, engineering, sales, marketing, finance and legal. These offering teams serve our customers' needs under ever-shifting circumstances and have passion for solving user problems with technology.

Interns in this program at IBM build deep and broad skills including market and competitive analysis, planning and shepherding product development, driving adoption through marketing and digital engagement, and sensing how offerings are performing in the market.

You will work with experienced IBM offering managers, designers and engineers who will challenge you and provide opportunities to accelerate your growth. You will build valuable experience and organizational eminence through mentors and opportunities to network across the business. When considering applicants for this role, we look for education and background in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, engineering, computer science, market/user research, design thinking, technology commercialization, business and go-to-market practices. We look for candidates who exhibit the aptitude and experience relevant to product management. We look for candidates with passion, grit and curiosity.

During this internship you'll be matched and deployed to an offering team in one of the office-based IBM locations listed below. Opportunities in these locations will vary based on business demand & will be deleted as filled:

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Must have basic knowledge in product management, product development, entrepreneurship, or other related work.
• English: Fluent

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least 1 year of experience in product management, product development, entrepreneurship, design thinking, market research, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, business analytics, or other related work.
