    Project Management Consultant is Responsible for proficiently managing project timelines and orchestrating release train activities, providing indispensable support to three scrum teams and fostering collaboration towards shared objectives.

    Critical Role and Responsibilities:

    • Support for Multiple Teams: Play a pivotal role in supporting three scrum teams, facilitating collaboration and alignment towards common goals.

    • Coordination of Business Teams: Skillful coordination across 20+ business teams involved in service plan and promotional delivery, highlighting organizational prowess and stakeholder management abilities.

    • External Vendor Management: Coordinate two external vendors crucial for service plan execution, showcasing versatility and partnership management skills.

    • Interface with Verizon Network and OCS Teams: Serve as liaison between TracFone Value execution units and VZ support units, they will ensure seamless collaboration for OCS deliveries, enhancing operational efficiency.

    • Strategic Planning and Analysis: Works with the Program team leveraging their expertise, to contribute to strategic planning and analysis, providing insights that drive informed decision-making for service plan and promotional program enhancements.

    • Continuous Process Improvement: Actively engage in identifying and implementing process improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across service plan and promotional delivery processes, driving continuous optimization and cost savings.

    Direct Management and Reporting Structure:

    While the role in question may not entail direct reports from a full-time employee (FTE) perspective, it involves managing direct consultants and holds matrix reporting responsibility to project teams. This unique management structure requires competencies and responsibilities to ensure effective collaboration and coordination within the organization.

    What we’re looking for ….

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four more years of work experience.

    • Four or more years of relevant experience

    • Solid foundation for understanding complex project management principles and methodologies.

    • Four or more years of experience in project management roles is essential. This experience demonstrates the candidate's ability to effectively plan, execute, and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

    • Experience with Agile Framework: Proficiency in Agile methodologies is crucial for this role, as it involves managing project timelines, orchestrating release train activities, and supporting scrum teams. Experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban is required..

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • PMI / Agile Certification: Possession of Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (or seeking equivalent) such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is considered a significant advantage. These certifications validate the candidate's expertise and competency in project management and Agile practices.

    • Previous Wireless Service Plan Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in wireless service plan management or telecommunications industry is advantageous. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology, processes, and best practices enables the candidate to quickly adapt to the role's requirements and contribute effectively to the organization's objectives.

    • Working with Multiple Teams, Both Internal and External: The role entails extensive collaboration with various internal teams and external vendors. Therefore, the candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to foster collaboration, and effective communication across diverse stakeholders to ensure project success.

    • Ability to Gather Requirements and User Stories: Proficiency in gathering requirements and user stories is essential for understanding project needs, defining project scope, and translating user requirements into actionable tasks. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail to effectively capture and document project requirements.

    • Participation and leadership in Program Increment (PI) planning: The ideal candidate should have experience participating in and leading Program Increment (PI) planning sessions. They should demonstrate the ability to contribute expertise and insights to drive planning and prioritization across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and guiding teams towards successful PI execution.
