NGEN SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under this contract, the Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. In order to continually modernize these networks, the Navy and Marine Corps will award project Task Orders onto the NGEN SMIT contract.
The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Project Manager to support the proposal and execution of projects for the NGEN SMIT contract.
This Project Manager will primarily manage Facilities projects which may span multiple IT service portfolios. The Project Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the Proposal Team to review Statement of Objectives (SOO) in order to develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Statement of Work (SOW) and final proposal for submission to Government to fulfill stipulated requirements. The Project Manager is also responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating team activities to manage and implement projects post proposal award from initiation to close-down. They will identify and assemble the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements, working with our matrixed Engineering Management staff to secure the appropriate resources, including sub-contractors. The Project Manager will be directing cross-functional teams representing multiple departments in the execution of implementation activities. They will plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project and undertake status review meetings among project team members and clients. They will work with fellow team members to accomplish contractual project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational risk and issues. They will also evaluate project progress, including variance analysis of Estimate at Completion (EAC) and facilitate the development of recommended alternatives, with necessary escalation activities and mitigation plans. Monitoring and communicating the baseline-approved cost and schedule and any variances for assigned projects will be a necessary skill. The ability to clearly articulate project-related messages for a variety of audiences, is required. This will be a 100% Telework, with travel as necessary to meet customer needs.

Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00
