Your Role and Responsibilities

START AND END DATES FOR THIS INTERNSHIP ARE DURING SUMMER 2021 (3 MONTHS) The IBM Cognitive Applications team is seeking innovative and enthusiastic Software Development Project Manager interns to join our team building the next generation multi-cloud marketplace platform. If you love working with cutting edge technologies, dynamic and high performing teams, then this is the right next step in advancing your career. You will be challenged to design and develop cloud applications and services leveraging a wide variety of open source, machine learning, and commercial technologies aimed at dramatically expanding the reach of the IBM Cloud to millions of enterprise developers. Our focus on delivering performance and predictability for our customers' most demanding workloads, at global scale and with leadership, efficiency, resiliency and security is the cornerstone of our development model and will result in maintaining IBM's leadership position for years to come. As a Project Manager intern on the engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in helping manage project aspects related to the IBM engineering team, our partners, and our end customers. You will also assist in working across teams to manage resources and interdependencies as required. You will be tasked with challenging and novel situations every day and coordinating high profile projects across multiple teams. You will have the opportunity to interface with a wide variety of other technology teams across IBM as well as high visibility customers.

Candidates should be willing to roll up their sleeves and collaborate on the definition and set-up work required and have a high level of ownership and accountability throughout the entire project life cycle. You will work with Senior Project Managers, following all processes utilizing an agile methodology. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the following:

• · Program Management and Accountability
• · Resource Staffing Plans
• · Schedule management
• · Communication Plan
• · Coordination with other teams.
• · Leading daily scrums, or regular scrum of scrum meetings
• · Managing customer/partner requirements and challenges.
• · Risk Management and Mitigation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• · Working knowledge of project management principals, including scope analysis, commitment and dependency tracking, issue management, and risk mitigation
• · Agile development methodologies employing CI/CD
• · Experience with Github
• Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• · Working knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Design
• · Working knowledge of SaaS release methodologies
• · PMP Certification in progress
