What you’ll be doing...
As a Revenue Assurance Consultant in the Verizon Connect Operations team, you will look for risks to revenue streams, develop solutions to mitigate the risks and correct inefficiencies in processes that result in revenue losses. You will work closely with business and technical teams to understand workflows and document gaps that result in incorrect or delayed billing.
Utilizing expert analytical knowledge, this role will monitor the operation of multiple systems to ensure the accuracy of the revenue stream, financial statements, operational metrics and compliance with legal and regulatory policies. You will leverage technical acumen and project management expertise to drive revenue recognition. Your focus will include new products and processes as well as existing business workflows.
As gaps are identified you will verify the impact to the business and develop interim and long term mitigation plans by working with stakeholders to define, execute, and monitor solutions. Responsibilities may also include providing expertise in analyzing and resolving issues related to revenue or cost leakage, revenue acceleration, profitability analysis, billing accuracy, and effective system or process design.
Provide advanced end to end analytical support for national billing, including systems, processes, errors and automations in order to maximize billing recognition, accuracy and timeliness.
Drive a deep knowledge and understanding of billing structures and supporting systems to perform research.
Analyze existing processes and data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement reporting to monitor customer lifecycle patterns. Identify anomalies, research root causes, and develop corrective actions as needed.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand multifaceted processes.
Define issues and design solutions that align with the defined business needs and strategic objectives. Develop proposals that include documentation of impact estimates and socialize with management and key stakeholders.
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
Serve as a crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams (like GTS), translating complex business needs into actionable requirements for system design.
Support the implementation of solutions by working with teams and ensuring they meet the agreed-upon requirements.
Evaluate the effectiveness of solutions by gathering feedback and measuring key performance indicators to confirm desired business outcomes.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Experience in billing and root cause analysis
Revenue Assurance or audit experience
Ability to work equally well both independently and within a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Information Technology or Data Analytics
Project management experience
Experience implementing process improvements
Knowledge of Salesforce, Super Libra, Connect 360, SOM, and S4
Experience with analytical tools like Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Smartsheets

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $78,000.00 - $150,000.00.
The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $86,000.00 - $150,000.00.
