This internship position – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Global Network & Technology Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

As a Network Engineering Intern, you may have the opportunity to:

• Work on developing business dashboard reporting and analytics needed at the time for Engineering.
• Provide support, monitoring, and reporting for automation processes.
• Work on a proof-of-concept to monitor and report on automation processes so that we can ensure that resources are allocated properly on the automation platform to support the work that the engineers are doing.
• Work to understand the subject process and systems to help them understand how and who does the work to enable them to pull the relative data sets needed.
• Develop your professional network at Verizon.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

You’ll need to have:

• Current enrollment at Rutgers University in a Bachelor’s degree program in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related major with an expected completion date between December 2024 and June 2026.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to work in or travel to a Verizon office if needed.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Strong analytical skills, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Experience with a Programming Language (ex: Python, Java).
• Knowledge of SQL and Data Visualizations tools such as Splunk and Tableau.
• Knowledge of Data Analysis.
