    THE SALES COMPENSATION SPECIALIST will be responsible for administering and supporting the Sales and Market Development Variable Compensation programs of our US sales organization. Track process payout-out and report on any incentive pay programs such as commission, spiffs, contests and non-cash awards.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE one or more of the following:

    • Perform all or a portion of the Spiff & Contest calculations and payouts for sales and market development associates.
    • This requires a complete understanding of the incentive process from entry to paying out.
    • Perform all or portion of the Commission payout process which includes tracking, processing, adjusting, paying out, and reporting on commissions for the sales and market development associates.
    • This requires a complete understanding of the commission-paying out process.
    • Perform administrative assignments that are non-secretarial. Works on assignments that are moderate in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. The Spec II is responsible for his or her own workload which is related to work that flows through the department on a regular basis.
      • For example, a reconciliation specialist who researches account histories to resolve payment discrepancies.
    • Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets Access databases Magellan queries and other PC based tools used in calculating monetary payouts

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to be flexible and reprioritize/multitask to accommodate changing priorities
    • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving skills
    • Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders
    • Must be able tofunctionin a fast-paced environment with a focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
    • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
    • Results-oriented, business-focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units
    • High school diploma or equivalent is a must.
    • Some college preferred.
    • Two to three years of accounting, customer service, and/or administrative experience.

    THE ROLE

    Ingram is looking for someone with integrity, energy, and a strong financial background to join our Sales Variable Compensation team. You'll help us in the day-to -day operations of paying sales commissions & incentives to our US Sales Organization. This position works cross-functionally with the Sales, Marketing, Payroll, and HR teams to coordinate and ensure sales commissions and related incentives are accurate, complete, and paid on time.

    As part of the team you will help populate, load, and validate all information in our Incentive tool. You will calculate, reconcile, and validate commission payments based on Sales Compensation plans and guidelines. You will act as the first point of contact for our internal customers to coordinate, address, and resolve any tool, commission, or incentive related issues.

    With 2-5 years' Sales Commissions or related experience, you are well versed in Excel (vlook-ups, pivot tables etc.) to work with large datasets and ensure all calculations and formulas are working properly and tie out to overall performance. Bonus points if you've used a Commission or Incentive Processing Tool/Software (Varicent, MTC, etc.). You are committed to ensuring 100% accuracy in the work you deliver 100% of the time. To confirm this, you develop processed to safeguard against errors. You understand the importance of hitting or beating deadlines, and strong communication. You love interacting with people and understand the importance of cross-functional alignments and buy-in before making changes.
