As a Sales Intern you will participate in meaningful activities that allow you to experience each step in the CDW sales cycle. You will be responsible for researching new and inactive accounts and interacting with current customers to learn more about their businesses. Your role will also consist of project based assignments designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of CDW. Interns will also have weekly professional development and experiential activities to learn about all the resources available to CDW coworkers.
This is a fun and dynamic experience that allows students to be fully immersed in CDW’s culture. Our interns are given a realistic view of what it requires to be successful in business to business sales.
Essential Functions:
Enhance relationships with new and existing key contacts
Uncover additional potential opportunities through following up with customers who place web orders
Help customers establish online accounts
Research deeper into existing accounts
Organizational Relationships:
Reports to CDW Sales Manager, coached by Sales Contact Center Supervisor and CDW Talent Acquisition member
Work Environment:
The job will be in our Chicago, IL office and the individuals will be coached by the appointed account managers. The duration of the internship is during the intern’s summer break, approximately 10 weeks. Interns participate in 7 days of training followed by continuous coaching including: Job Shadowing, one-on-one training, Online Training Modules, and regular meetings with your manager and the Intern Program Coordinator.

Returning offers for another internship or full-time job offer if successful completion of the program (determined by Sales Manager).
Currently enrolled sophomores, juniors, or first semester seniors who are interested in sales and marketing.
Strong organizational skills.
Available to work a 40 hour week within standard business hours throughout the summer.
Strong communication skills. The intern must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers.
