What you’ll be doing...
The Analyst I – Security Operations position is an entry level Security role that will support numerous Security programs to ensure compliance with specific contracts. In this role you will assist with security administration and provide support for all aspects of physical, personnel, administrative, communications, operations and computer/systems security.
Reviewing various security standards, custom security requirements, and statements of work.
Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of a departmental insider threat program.
Maintaining internal security awareness programs, and helping to execute security self-inspections.
Assisting with the management of alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems, and providing after-hours alarm/emergency response as required.
Assisting with video, badge, and alarm reviews as required.
Ensuring all actions follow Verizon CPI-810, as well as federal, state, and local laws governing the use, protection, and safeguarding of personal information and other sensitive data.
Discerning and applying the proper standards for the protection of unique data.
Providing support for all aspects of physical security operations by conducting self-inspections.
Coordinating with security vendors as needed to ensure the installation, upgrades, and maintenance for hardware and software components.

In this worksite-based role, you'll work onsite at a defined location, Ashburn, VA.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelors or one or more years of work experience.
Experience in Microsoft Office products and programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Ability to pass an extensive Verizon initiated background investigation as a condition of employment.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Good Independent judgment and discretion, and risk analysis skills.
Ability to juggle competing demands and to prioritize work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, while paying strict attention to detail.
Knowledge of Digital Monitoring Panels (DMP) and Software House/C-Cure access control systems.
