Successful Senior AWS Cloud Engineers at Acxiom will build and improve the tooling that automates and orchestrates our multi-tenant, multi-datacenter, and multi-cloud infrastructure. You will deliver public and private cloud-based service offerings. You will build services to enable small teams the ability to operate huge infrastructures with diverse security, compliance, and customer requirements. Your platform will support Acxiom-developed service integration, automation, testing, deployments, and ongoing operations. You will write code to develop tools that support the full IT lifecycle. You will interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

This role can be home-based almost anywhere in the U.S.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Produce quality code that is efficient, secure, supportable, and consistent

• Write code to build tools, APIs, and application integrations

• Possess a sound understanding of Acxiom functional and business objectives

• Evaluate requirements and define an overall project

• Ensure that all capabilities delivered align with original business objectives

• Collaborate with other engineers and architects

• Operate the platforms and services you deliver

• Provide advanced technical expertise, oversight, and accountability for outages

• Closely partner with information security to ensure security compliance

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• 5+ years domain software engineering experience

• 3+ years AWS and/or GCP experience

• 3+ years using interpreted programming languages (Python, Javascript, or Perl)

• 2+ years developing automation tools, RESTful web services, or APIs

• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform

• Production Service Ownership

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

What will set you apart:

• AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config experience

• GCP PubSub, BigQuery, Kubernetes Engine, and AppEngine experience

• Current AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, Security certifications

• Security certifications (AWS Security specialty, CISSP)

• Building and operating Log, Streaming, and Event Platforms

• Experience delivering IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS

• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code including Software Defined Networks and Storage

• Experience with additional Cloud providers (Azure, VMware)

• Cloud Native development experience

• Multi-cloud, Systems, and Networking integration projects

• Experience with distributed systems (Hadoop, Kafka, Elasticsearch)

• Foundational understanding of ITIL and associated processes

• Deep operating systems experience with any of Linux, Solaris, Windows

• Extensive experience designing, developing, testing complex software solutions to support distributed, scalable and highly available applications
