The Sr. Data Management Specialist is responsible for the execution and integrity of the end-to-end data flow in Acxiom's product-based client solutions. They work with the client and solution architect to understand the client's data and business requirements and map those into the capabilities of Axiom's solutions. They analyze the source data against the capabilities of the products, consult with the client on data integrity issues, and map the data into the solution. They perform auditing and quality checks to ensure the integrity of the data is maintained as it flows through the system. They work to ensure that the client's success criteria are achieved by making sure the data required for campaigns, BI/reporting, analytics, extracts, and other outputs is identified.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Builds and maintains expertise on Acxiom UDL product capabilities and usage

• Perform analysis, prepare reports, and participate in initial data discussions with the client

• Manages transfers of source file data to and from external and internal locations, ensures connectivity is in place for client and vendors

• Perform configuration & mapping of source file data in delivery tools that aligns with requirements, design, and mapping documentation

• Perform QA & auditing to ensure the data quality through the solution including the data warehouse, data mart(s), and outputs/extracts

• Executes build processes for initial QA and final production build

• Consults with client on data counts, quality, and operational reports

• Identifies, tracks, and resolves data issues

• Transitions data management responsibilities to production Delivery Analyst

• Estimates effort for all data management activities and works with project manager to build into a schedule

• Consults with Solution Architect on data flow design and initial data mapping of source data

• Facilitates completion of initial business requirements & gap analysis documentation with Client, Solution Architect, and DSA

• Leads teams of Data Management Specialists on larger more complex projects

• Mentors others who are less experienced
