    As a Senior Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data and analytics governance architecture at Verizon. You'll have the opportunity to lead innovative strategies and initiatives, driving transformation and empowerment within our organization. Here's why you should consider joining us:

    What you’ll be doing...

    1. Develop & Implement Data & Analytics End to End Governance Solutions:

    • Lead the charge in innovation strategy and roadmap development, focusing on Governance Architecture, Data Catalog, Data Protection, and Data Marketplace solutions.

    • Translate customer requirements into actionable strategies, overseeing the implementation of data platforms and cloud data warehouses.

    • Drive strategic leadership in managing enterprise data catalog, metrics governance, BI governance, and AI governance solutions.

    • Stay ahead of the curve by making informed decisions on emerging technologies in the data governance ecosystem.

    2. Communication

    • Champion effective communication and change management initiatives enterprise-wide, fostering collaboration and mindset shifts alongside the Data Strategy Lead.

    • Lead and inspire a global team of data governance professionals, setting the bar high for excellence in execution.

    • Model behaviors that support a culture of continuous improvement, driving transformational change within the organization.

    3. Demand Management:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to architect joint solutions, ensuring alignment with analytics and BI objectives.

    • Manage budgets and facilitate partnerships to deliver innovative solutions.

    • Analyze and address incoming demand for various data types, providing support and guidance to meet business needs effectively.

    What we’re looking for...

    Experience:

    • Demonstrated success in leadership roles, with a track record of driving results.

    • Extensive experience managing complex technical teams in the data and analytics realm.

    • Deep understanding of technical and business aspects within a complex data landscape.

    • Proficiency in Teradata, Google Cloud Platform, Big Query, Hadoop, and ERP systems.

    • Experience in developing, integrating, and deploying AI/ML models, with exposure to large language models preferred.

    Skills

    • Strong leadership acumen, with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.

    • Comprehensive understanding of data and analytics solutions, with a focus on real-world applications.

    • Ability to translate business needs into data-driven strategies and initiatives.

    • Proficient in integrating cross-business strategies and managing enterprise-wide resources.

    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, essential for driving alignment and fostering collaboration.

    • Experience with data governance tools and technologies like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, and IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog preferred.

    This role demands a leader who can drive innovation, effectively communicate strategies, and manage complex technical landscapes while fostering collaboration across teams and partners.
