Verizon Business Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer IV - Software Development to join our team. This role will be central to enhancing the verizon.com/business portal & My Verizon for Business App sales and service user experience through the design, development, and deployment of innovative, customer-facing digital applications.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various internal teams, including business units, technology teams, developers, solution architects, and product owners, to create intuitive and efficient applications aligned with strategic business objectives. Key responsibilities include -

• Aligning development with our north star architecture across UI/UX, middleware, and backend systems, and significantly contributing to the redesign and enhancement of new & existing customer experiences on portal & app to improve usability and satisfaction.

• Strategically integrating prompt based & conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) to personalize customer interactions, automate processes, and improve service delivery.

• Effectively collaborate with global onshore and offshore development teams is essential.

• Following the Agile methodology to gather information from stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts to analyze business needs and understand the requirements to support the design, development, and testing of various digital projects to simplify customer experience.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

• Experience with technologies like Java, J2EE, React, Spring Cloud, Spring Boot and Microservices.

• Experience with architecting large scale enterprise applications.

• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (Node.JS, Next.JS, Angular, React, etc.) and cross-browser implementations.

• Experience in Web UI framework and development which includes Usability, Page transition, page navigation, image caching, lazy page loading.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Systems,

• Experience Cloud and Container platform Strategies, Design, Architecture and Migration.

• Experience with AEM is preferred.

• Experience with reviewing application requirements and interface designs.

• Experience with identifying web-based user interactions.

• Experience with developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.

• Experience with developing applications and API frameworks to enable large-scale efficiencies.

• Experience with leading complex projects by bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks, and integrating feedback from clients and team members.

• Experience in building and maintaining experiences like preconfigured cart and offline order processing.

• Experience in Elasticsearch including indexes, shards, replicas and experience with data ingestion frameworks such as Logstash to efficiently index data into Elasticsearch.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $101,000.00 - $194,000.00.
