You will be part of the Central Gulf Coast Data Performance Team and will be responsible for the engineering and performance monitoring/troubleshooting of the network.
Understanding edge applications over cloud based architecture: EBH, SGW, MME, PGQ, VoLTE/IMS, SBC COIN, eNSE, MSE.
Monitoring/auditing core network and EBH elements for performance degradation and configuration errors.
Driving the evolution and performance of new applications, with an emphasis on finding and developing better ways to automate recurring work effectively.
Optimizing the data and VoLTE network, driving issues resolution
Troubleshooting core element issues and outages by working with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Utilizing applications such as Python, Tableau and the Network Datalake to better visualize and detect network issues.
Auditing core element translation s by collecting/analyzing PCAPs and call trace logs utilizing the Netscout tool suites (IrisView and NG1).
Ensuring core element visibility in IrisView, NG1, SevOne, RTT 2.0, TrueCall and Brix.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously (leading FOAs and supporting HQ proof of concept initiatives including new application turn-ups / instantiations) and ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Troubleshooting and support of network outage or degraded network KPIs in collaboration with HQ/Territory/NA/System Performance teams.
Never satisfied with the status quo, you thrive on continuous improvement. You have a strong domain experience in performance management tools, call processing, and all aspects of telecommunications networks. You enjoy the process of solving complex issues while empowering the team around you to do the same.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Willingness to work some nights.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor/Master's degree in science, engineering or a related discipline.
Ability to troubleshoot network, servers or application issues
Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and IP routing protocols, familiar with Data Center architecture.
Knowledge of interdependent aspects of virtual applications and software skills.
Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau and Python.
Experience over Cloud Technologies such as Open Stack, Kubernetes, Containers, etc.
Experience in engineering, monitoring and growing complex data networks.
Experience in wireless switching environment.
Willingness to work on a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as necessary.
