This position is an IT Architecting role with team leadership responsibilities that focuses on monitoring of infrastructure, services, and cloud components across the enterprise. You will work closely with internal engineers to build IT support solutions for monitoring all global systems and services. You will help lead the team in innovative ways to build monitoring components for the 24X7 Command Center and admin teams.
Day in the life:
In this role you will be responsible for creating new On-Premises, Cloud & Global monitoring solutions as well as enhancing existing systems to meet the needs of new architectural changes. You will consistently engage with other cross functional teams to assess problems, determine needs, and translate requirements into technical designs that utilizes automation and various monitoring technologies.
Recommendation, design, and deployment of SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS automation solutions for monitoring health of various services and infrastructure.
Recommendation, design, deployment, and maintenance of solutions for self-service creation and destruction of service health monitors.
Automation of server patching for complex clustered production environments
Mentoring/Leading other team members in architecting monitoring solutions
Presentation of ideas to various levels of management
Assisting leadership in setting direction for monitoring new services
Resolution of technical issues related to monitoring tools
Interaction with vendors for best practices/support of monitoring products
What you need:
5+ years of proven experience in architecting infrastructure, networks, and/or cloud services
Architect interfaces with multiple vendor products and in-house written applications
Infrastructure monitoring for physical and virtual devices
Administration of vendor application and infrastructure
Security compliance awareness for managing monitor, logs, and security data.
Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Linux
Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
Linux administration knowledge for patching, monitoring and troubleshooting
Self-motivated in learning new capabilities
4-year college degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience

VMWARE, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, AZURE experience
Working knowledge of Software Defined Networks
