As the Senior PR Specialist, you'll be instrumental in driving the PR strategy and execution for Acxiom, aligning PR results with overall marketing and business outcomes for Acxiom. As part of the PR and Communications team, you will work directly with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to develop PR strategies to support Acxiom's business objectives, including identification of new opportunities and initiatives to amplify Acxiom's messages via paid, owned, and earned media opportunities.

This role is about storytelling - working across the organization to surface the stories we need to tell in market, and bringing those stories to life through press releases, media pitches, bylines, blogs, and awards entries. In addition, you will work collaboratively with subject matter experts across the broader Global Marketing Team, ensuring our PR efforts are part of an integrated go-to-market approach that drives business results. As the Senior PR Specialist, you will report to the Vice President of PR and Communications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Approach opportunities from a strategic mindset and be a storytelling Sherpa for your stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Acxiom's PR Agency of Record to develop PR strategies and tactics to amplify product launches, new thought leadership content, Acxiom event sponsorships, speaking engagements, and other Acxiom business initiatives across paid, owned, and earned channels.
• Bring strategic and creative thinking to your collaboration with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to help develop content for pitches, press releases, blog posts, awards entries, bylines, etc.
• Writing, writing, writing - from press releases to awards entries to executive talking points, this role is for a skilled writer; someone who knows how to tell a story and understands the best way to do so depending on the format.
• Collaborate with teams across the Global Marketing Organization to ensure PR efforts are aligned and integrated with broader Marketing efforts.
• Manage Acxiom PR opportunities from project initiation to project completion, keeping all stakeholders on message, on time and on budget.
• Assist in managing inbound media requests.
• Assist in pitching for earned coverage.
• Assist in tracking and reporting the PR and Communications Team's monthly, quarterly, and yearly metrics.
• Assist in managing the PR and Communications Team's work with outside agencies/vendors/media outlets.
• Proofreading and editing external-facing materials, as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the VP of PR and Communications.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Previous marketing, PR, or communications experience, preferably 3+ years.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Strong grasp of PR and communications best practices.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
• Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization
• Adept at anticipating problems and working collaboratively to resolve them
• Self-directed problem solver and creative thinker
• Exercises strong business judgment skills in making key decisions
• Drives execution of PR programs and is comfortable being self-directed
• P roficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to learn new programs and tasks

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
