This role is for applicants from the current/graduating AdFellows 7.0 class.

We are looking for a quick-witted copywriter to help edit and create ongoing content for our Talent Acquisition (TA) team. You’ll assist the marketing communications and branding manager with copy editing, social content creation, and writing for overall strategic communications. Projects, where we’ll leverage this copywriter, include campus communications refresh, internal candidate communications, diversity hiring initiatives, military messaging and branding, blog content for a proposed Talent Acquisition blog (original content creation: employee testimonials, tips content), Talent Acquisition leadership communications, Careers.com content, and overall TA Recruitment messaging

Your responsibilities will include editing quickly and trimming down content into ‘snack-able’ sound bites. You’ll have a command of the written word. You’ll be able to tell compelling stories through your writing. You must exhibit strong writing skills and an ability to collaborate with the TA team to ensure quality, verbal and visual consistency, and timeliness of material. You will analyze client needs and cater content to relevant target audiences.

• Writing and producing engaging content for Verizon Careers web site and social networks.

• Producing clear and credible copy.

• Guaranteeing accuracy, attention to detail, and meets or exceeds the writing objectives.

• Executing writing requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits are implemented correctly, spell check was run, facts were confirmed).

• Responding to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.

• Thinking creatively at a high level and being able to articulate the work back to the team.

• Editing and proofreading material as demand and scheduling requires.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Three or more years of relevant work experience.

• A current member of the graduating AdFellows 7.0 graduating class.

• Three or more years of in-house or agency-side experience writing and editing copy for social channels.

• A portfolio of relevant work.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Flawless spelling and grammar; able to proofread at a high level with little to no errors.

• Entrepreneurial spirit and innate curiosity.

• A demonstrated passion for and mastery of social media.

• Ability to maintain deadlines at a constant level.

• Exhibited competency in presenting creative work.

• Capability to “boil down” verbose content to the “essence” of the main message in a concise, effective manner.

• Understanding of writing applications in traditional and emerging channels.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
