The WWT Internship Program is a 10 week summer program designed to give college students an opportunity to experience the workplace prior to graduation and enhance their education. Our program is focused on better preparing students for the business world while providing valuable contributions to our company. WWT interns work in a dynamic and collaborative culture that highlights career opportunities and advancement.

Job Title: Data Consulting Intern

Job Summary

The Data Consulting Intern will support multidisciplinary teams working on real-world data science and engineering projects. This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of data consulting—from data ingestion and transformation to model development and deployment. Interns will contribute to client-facing solutions and internal R&D efforts, gaining hands-on experience across MLOps, data engineering, and applied data science.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in building and testing data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Support the development and evaluation of machine learning models and benchmarking frameworks.
• Participate in the setup and configuration of cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Contribute to exploratory data analysis and visualization to derive insights.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to operationalize AI/ML solutions.
• Help implement data quality checks and monitor system performance.
• Engage in research and documentation of emerging tools and techniques in data science and MLOps.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Python and SQL; exposure to statistical or ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow).
• Understanding of cloud platforms and container technologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and concepts.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college, university, or certification program and will have at least 1 semester left after internship
• You must have a graduation date of December 2026 or later to qualify for the program.
• Must be pursuing a degree relevant to the role with a strong interest in numbers/mathematics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel
• Strong written & verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong independent judgment and leadership skills
• Ability to collaborate well with others
• Must provide reliable transportation & housing

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $18 to $25 per hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
