Our Interns will work daily throughout the structured summer program to help generate meaningful work that will have a tangible impact across different aspects of the business. As an intern with the Leidos you will have a position with varying responsibility and scope that will challenge you and propel your professional and personal growth both in your studies as well as your future career.
Currently Leidos has an intern job opening for a Summer High School Intern located in Manassas, VA.
In this role, you will need to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, understand prioritization, have attention to detail, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and handle multiple simultaneous tasks.
THE CHALLENGE (PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES):
Support design by surveying aircraft or manufactured items, creating CAD models and drawings, and reviewing drawings.
Support manufacturing by writing work instructions, communicating with the shop floor, and assisting with change documentation.
Support project management by assisting with the development of Engineering Data Lists and providing project statuses.
Support engineering tests by writing test plans and test reports and by participating in or conducting tests.
WHAT SETS YOU APART (BASIC QUALIFICATIONS):
Current class standing at a High School Junior/Senior Level
Must have an average 3.0 GPA and above
Strong writing and Oral communication skills
Ability to effectively reason through tasks and decisions
Available to up to 40 hours per week. (Hours can vary based on student's school schedule)
US Citizenship is required
