    Description

    Ingram Micro is seeking a motivated and talented Summer Intern – Transportation Systems to join us in June for our 10-week PAID Summer Internship Program! We are looking for ambitious college and university students who are ready to expand their skills and apply them to meaningful work with a global organization.

    Location: This role will be based in our Buffalo, NY office. The intern who fills this role must be able to report to this office for a minimum of 2 days per week, with the opportunity for hybrid work.

    Program Details:

    We have internships available across our various departments and locations throughout the U.S. including Irvine, CA, Buffalo, NY, Fort Worth, TX, Joliet, IL, and Carol Stream, IL. Unless otherwise noted – all internships are on a hybrid format at the designated office listed in the job description, and are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Our program includes cohort activities such as learning & development trainings, executive speaker sessions, group projects, and other events.

    Important Dates:

    • March – May: Recruiters and hiring managers will review applications, as well as reach out to candidates and make offers on a rolling basis, with a goal of filling all roles by May

    • June 5th– August 11th: First cohort start & end date (for semester system students who start summer break earlier)

    • June 19th– August 25th: Second cohort start & end date (for quarter system students who start summer break later)

    Responsibilities of your role:

    This role will support our Transportation Systems team who takes pride in providing the highest level of logistics services to Ingram Micro’s supply chain network. We supply a broad array of services including systems maintenance, process improvement, business intelligence, cost/service analysis, and project execution.

    This role will be responsible for:

    • Learning the key elements of Ingram’s multi-national transportation network

    • Interacting with important logistics systems such as TMS, WMS, Visibility, ERP

    • Creating workflows detailing critical supply chain processes

    • Developing standard operating procedures around key system maintenance and configuration tasks

    • Producing training guides for BI reporting

    Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities you need to have:

    • Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program

    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred

    • Strong academic record with a cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • Strong technical aptitude for systems, process documentation, and data analysis

    • Relevant experience with software such as MS Office Suite, Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

    The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $20-25/hour.

    The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

    Please be prepared to pass a drug test and successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check that includes verification of vaccination status.
