  • Responsibilities

    The successful applicant will teach the "Mobile Technology for Kids!" after-school program in one or more of Hands-On Technology's San Diego STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) regions.

    After-School Instructors will be expected to:

    • Lead in the instruction & implementation of new and/or existing Hands-On Technology educational activities.
    • Handle questions, comments and/or complaints regarding education programs and events professionally and tactfully.
    • Attend mandatory employee-training program and other trainings/meetings as directed.

  • Qualifications
    • Enthusiasm for technology and kid's education activities
    • Prior paid or volunteer experience working with the K-8 Age Group
    • Current collegiate students who have completed 1 or more courses in relevant coursework in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, & math) or Education
    • Understanding basic concepts of Engineering and/or Computer Science is a plus

    Prior to hire, instructors will receive training in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering concepts and activities targeting K-12 students. Satisfactory completion of all training materials is required for instructional staff to be eligible for work. Training events are planned throughout the academic year.
