The Verizon Global Services organization centralizes key functions that unlock our ability to enhance and strategically deliver services for all our business groups and centers of excellence. It’s bringing a holistic approach to Verizon’s partner ecosystem to ensure seamless and efficient business processes.

    The Strategy and Transformation team holds a key role in defining Verizon Global Services strategy, enabling cross-functional transformation and service delivery, while supporting the V Team’s ability to adapt. We are focused on seamless end-to-end customer and employee experiences. We challenge ourselves to solve top-of mind strategic questions, collaborating with leadership and experts across the organization.     In this role, you will…

    • Designing the future operating model for Verizon Global Services and other Verizon business groups

    • Leading concept, scope definition, and execution of strategic and operational business transformation initiatives aimed at increasing revenue, reducing expenses, enhancing business efficiency, improving customer experience, and driving VGS to become a best-in-class organization

    • Leveraging critical thinking & sharp problem-solving skills (e.g., data-backed analysis, data science tools, valuation methods, hypothesis-driven approach, research & strategy frameworks) to support the design & execution of new solutions

    • Serving as an effective change agent utilizing stakeholder analysis and change management techniques

    • Creating detailed financial models to support overall strategic planning, investment requests, and impact assessment

    • Understanding business challenges and develop and prioritize solutions to make significant impacts to process, experience and cost savings

    • Crafting and delivering actionable recommendations to C-Suite and other senior leadership through data-driven analysis, visualization for executive decision making, and concise story telling

    • Being a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.

    • Collaborating with data scientists to build analytics solutions focused on embedding AI/ML into critical business decisions and processes to elevate value-creation and customer experience

    • Supporting others by providing real-time coaching on business transformation and process improvement methodologies and tools

    • Structuring and leading proof-of-concept and/or pilot engagements with technology and business partners

    • Managing large cross-functional projects by developing strategy, initiatives, work plans, timelines, and goals to ensure stakeholders and VGS delivers on commitments

You are someone that has excellent verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable in working up and across the organization. You are confident enough to voice well-informed, dissenting opinions, yet always treat others and their views with respect.

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience

    • Three or more years of relevant work experience

    Even better if you have:

    • MBA or advanced degree in Economics, Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering

    • Strategy experience with a top-tier management consulting firm or investment bank

    • Experience in a role responsible for the design, development, and implementation of a strategic plan for an organization, company or business unit

    • Proven ability to manage complex programs and drive cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and influence co-workers while fostering strong working relationships

    • Broad financial acumen including knowledge of valuation methodologies and ability to develop financial models

    • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills in combination with experience in SQL, scripting/statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.) and visualization software tools

    • Understanding of advanced statistical methods, machine learning principles and cloud architecture

    • Intellectual curiosity and passion for technology-backed, transformative industries

    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously work on multiple projects

    • Comfortable working across all levels of an organization, leveraging organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and time-management skills
