    When you launch your career with our three-to-five-year entry-level Global Network & Technology Leadership Development Program (LDP) - which is part of the Verizon Campus Program - you'll dive into our full spectrum of industry-defining technologies that enable our millions of customers to harness the power of our networks every day. You'll contribute your ideas and advance your skills with a team that thrives on breaking new ground, all in an environment that offers the latest in technology.

    In this role, you’ll be:

    • Participating in three to four program-determined rotations in the Global Network and Technology organization, focusing on the best-in-class Network built and managed by Verizon.

    • Engineering for the Access and Core Engineering teams with a hyper-focus on reliability and performance across the Verizon Wireline and Wireless Networks.

    • Leadership Program Rotations may include:

      • Wireless Network System Performance including monitoring, analyzing and addressing RAN and core network performance problems, troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.

      • Project Management supporting end-to-end project/program management of projects that are technical in nature where the utilization of advanced technological skills including coding, systems architecture, engineering etc. are used to meet the company's project goals. For example, building out wireless and fiber based networks.

      • Network Implementation including planning, advising, acquiring for spectrum, network hardware and software roadmaps, capacity planning and future technologies, and maintaining external network infrastructure.

      • Network Operations ensuring that assigned networks (wireless and wireline), systems, and services meet established performance, reliability, and security standards.

      • Network Planning focused on building and driving the strategy and roadmaps (including business case preparation and ongoing financial analysis) for Network expansion.

    • Developing and strengthening your technical, business, and leadership skills through structured assignments, participating in enterprise-wide leadership/management development curriculum, and defined networking/support activities.

    • Applying your skills in highly visible, high-impact projects, meetings, and presentations.

    You’ll need to have:

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Systems Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Telecommunications or other related majors with an expected completion date between December 2023 and June 2024.

    • Authorization to work in the US without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

    • Coursework or demonstration experience in Radio Frequency Engineering, Software Engineering, Construction Engineering and / or Network Engineering.

    • One or more years of demonstrated leadership skills through work experience, school programs and / or community organizations.

    • Willingness to move and relocate 2-4 times throughout the program. Rotation locations where you could be placed may include but are not limited to Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; Walnut Creek, CA; Denver, CO; Washington, DC; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Alpharetta, GA; Rolling Meadows, IL; Boston, MA; Waltham, MA; Annapolis, MD; Cary, NC; Charlotte, NC; Basking Ridge, NJ; Bedminster, NJ; Branchburg, NJ; Piscataway, NJ; New York, NY Hilliard, OH; Houston, TX; Irving, TX; Richardson, TX; Southlake, TX; Ashburn, VA; and Bellevue, WA.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Demonstrated strong executive presentation skills.

    • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.

    • Demonstrated strong quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet critical deadlines.

    • Advanced modeling and operations research experience.

    • Familiarity with some of the following technologies and disciplines: SQL, SPSS, Spark, R, SAS, Python, NoSQL, Hadoop, Scala, Java, Hive, Windows, Linux, computer hardware, cloud systems, and architecture, Ruby on rails, shell script, Visio, Android/iOS, Agile and DevOps tools such as GIT or JIRA, RESTful and Microservice APIs, SDLC, JavaScript, MS Visual Studio, security fundamentals, OWASP, UNIX, C++, Oracle, XML, Jenkins, Selenium, DevOps, WYSIWYG HTML editors, design, and prototyping.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $119,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
