What you’ll be doing...

The Exposure Analysis & Response team's mission involves researching, assessing, prioritizing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities throughout the Verizon Enterprise. The role requires experience in vulnerability management, risk assessment, exposure analysis, and remediation strategies. Analysts in this role work closely with IT and security teams to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating the exploitability and impact of identified vulnerabilities, prioritizing them for remediation.

• Identifying practical solutions to remediate vulnerabilities, including patching, configuration changes, and security controls.

• Effectively communicating with a variety of teams at all levels of the business.

• Developing action plans and communicating concise recommendations to owners of vulnerable assets.

• Working on a fast-paced, energetic team that frequently conducts urgent response missions.

• Staying informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively identify and address potential risks.

• Maintaining reports, documentation, and metrics to demonstrate our effectiveness.

• Tracking and managing multiple remediation efforts simultaneously.

• Analyzing our external attack surface to identify vulnerabilities and attack vectors.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

• Experience with operating systems, networking concepts, cloud environments, and application security.

• Experience with various remediation methods, including patching, configuration changes, and security controls.

• Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessments, working with large data sets.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Cyber Security.

• CISA and/or CISSP certification.

• Hands-on experience with Tenable Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7 platforms.

• Expertise in Cloud security, Open Source security, application security, etc.

• Attack surface management.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annually salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $81,000.00 - $155,000.00.
