The BUSINESS REPORTING INTERN will be responsible for various projects related to product medical costs and business processes.   Assignments will focus on Anthem’s California Commercial products.  This is not a technical programming role.  The primary focus will be interpreting prepared data, summarizing, and presenting observations, emphasizing business impact.  The position is expected to be remote.  Depending on COVID-19, occasional visits to an anthem office may be requested.  For that reason, preferred locations are Woodland Hills, Walnut Creek, or Sacramento.  Applicants in other locations will be considered.

Primary responsibilities include supporting:

• Review and interpret business reports
• Analyze medical cost trends to determine contributing factors
• Participate in the planning and preparation of materials for meetings
• Present project results and findings in writing and verbally
• Outreach across several teams to obtain necessary related information 
• Create basic project tracking and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing degree in a discipline such as Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Healthcare Administration
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Available to perform internship June through December.
• Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
• Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
